POST-IT NOTE DRAWING #1

Inspired by artist John Kenn (johnkenn.blogspot.com) who produces beautifully creepy pen-and-ink drawings on post-it notes, I have begun a series of quick drawings on my own pad of post-its. I think John Kenn works on a larger post-it note than I do, but so far it has been a fun exercise.

THE STAR OF KALEEL

THE STAR OF KALEEL by C.J. Burch is a wonderfully fast-paced Sword-and-Sorcery novel with two very interesting (and rare for that genre) female lead characters. The book has been available at Amazon for a while but Burch recently asked me to come up with new cover art for the re-issue. He has given me permission (actually he actively encouraged me) to post it.

ROBIN, THE GIRL WONDER

A while ago Cal over at the Canadian Cave of Cool thought that we needed a new female robin. I had to agree and. since there wasn't one around I had to come up with one.

On another note, my other personality, Jack Mackenzie, is writing. He is contractually obligated to write a story for an upcoming anthology and he finds my blogging and commenting on other folks' blogs distracting.

So If I am unusually quiet in the next two or three weeks, blame Jack.

UPDATE: Despite Jack's insistence to the contrary I have made updates to this image. I re-inked it using ink pen rather than Photoshop and then I took it into Painter. I like the results much better.
