VELVET ASSASSIN

A fairly impractical outfit for an assassin. She wouldn't exactly be unnoticed (unless her target was at the Playboy Mansion). She'd be able to move quietly, though I'd hate to think where she would have had to hide the knife.

This image just came into my head, as impractical as it is, and I had to get it out.

That's what this piece is called. Done in Corel Painter X. No idea who he is. Just a dude. I think he looks a bit effeminate. When I get time I'll work on him some more and turn him into something. Might be completely different. I don't know.

Woman Watching Spaceship Takeoff

It's a rather unimaginative title, but I can't come up with anything else. What do you think? "A Girl in Every Spaceport"? A bit sexist I think. "Left Behind"? I don't know.

Married to the Wind... FINAL!

This image is important because it was done for the woman that I love, my wonderful wife. Her input made the picture far better than it would have been on its own and I am very happy that she is pleased with it.

SPEED PAINTING

So here's a speed painting. Done from a quick sketch scanned from my smaller sketchbook. Obvious Frazetta influence. I just wanted to see what I could do in a short period of time.

I think it's getting there. Needs some finishing touches.

Married to the Wind

Here is the latest piece I am working on. It is unfinished and it has been a challenge. The most important element, the piece that is missing, is the veil. I want it to float up and fill the space. Getting the gauzy nature of the veil right has been tricky. Getting it to billow correctly has also been a challenge.

When the veil is in place I am going to put stars in the sky. I want to be able to see them twinkling through the translucent veil.

Rogue Blades Entertainment is publishing a sword and sorcery anthology called DEMONS!
